Corpse Bride Emily Concept

Tim Burtin's Corpse Bride - Emily Cosplay

This costume is based of of Tim Burtin's Corpse Bride and I did Emily! I made this costume for Halloween 2005. Thankfully my school back then let us wear our costumes to class! This costume wasn't completely accurate but I really did love being emily. <3!

About the Costume: From head to toe! The circlet head peice for the viel was made of sticks, fake flowers, and beads which were all hand weaved by wire. The veil was just a peice of fabric that I hand sewn down to the circlet. I put some gell in the wig to make it look more peicey like emily's. As for the dress it was made up into a corset top and  skirt. The corset top has plastic bomimg in it. And both the top and skirt was cut to make it look tattered, and both of the wear dyed in blue to give the faded effect. And although I liked how it turned out for how little skill I had back then, I wished I did the hole in her cheek, bust and her bone arm and leg.

Purchased items on the Costume: Wig (styled), body paint, and shoes.
